Do you know that your happiness depends on what you have on your desktop? Well, OK, even though it’s not THAT simple, you need to know that simple things have a great influence on the quality of your life. Read on to find out how to easily make your life better, and if you have your own ideas, share them in the comments!
Lifehack is a word that’s become totally popular recently. What does it mean? Tricks to make your life easier! It comes from a seemingly boring world of software developers, who were the first one to try to transfer simple IT ideas to everyday life. A British journalist, Danny O’Brien was the first one to use the term in 2004 in San Diego. Today it’s not only about scripts that filter data from your mail but also actions that help develop your regular actions – from contacting the bank, to tidying your closet and conquering the world 😀
LIFE HACKING. AN IDEA FOR EVERYTHING!
How to get your job done, have a boyfriend, a passion, develop your knowledge, do sports, have a tidy home, and not lose your friends at the same time? Sly people have their tricks 😉 Their work is more efficient. If you also organize your life properly, think creatively, you’ll start noticing that your day becomes… longer and you manage to do more things than before 😉 Remember to approach everything with a pinch of salt, though. We wouldn’t want you to become a robot with a more advanced operational system than a new iPhone, it’s just about making your life easier.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER?
1. USE PHONE AND COMPUTER APPS
2. CONTROL WHAT YOU HAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER
If you use your computer often, try to keep it clean. Delete unwanted files; try to go through your Trash and Downloads folders regularly, and leave only what you’re currently working on your Desktop. Name files – you won’t have to waste time on looking for random files later (like dfsfs.jpg). Organize your mailbox according to who the mail came from, whether it’s a work, private, or a college one.
3. NOTE THINGS DOWN
Regardless of whether you run your own company, or are about to take your school-leaving exams, try to control all the information that concerns you in a way. Write everything down (from a new task at work to a visit at the dentist’s) and run a journal, and you won’t have to waste time on asking about the purpose of your actions or WHEN exactly something was 😉 ). If it’s hard for you to reach into your purse looking for a pen all the time, just download Evernote (you read about it in #1 😉 ).
4. ORGANIZE YOUR DOCUMENTS
Start from tidying the space around you. Get an organizer to place on your desk or in a drawer and place documents regarding given areas of your life into special files. It’s simple. Bills, college, and medical papers – everything separately 😉 That’s what I also advised you to do in #2 with your mailbox 😉
5. PLAN AND BE ON TIME
Being late is a bad habit which makes you ignore the value of time 😉 It works like domino. If you come late, the meeting will get long, and you’ll end up calling a cab in a rush, you’ll be late to the cinema, you’ll have to postpone a meeting with your friends, and you’ll come home tired and frustrated. If you don’t want to bring havoc to your life, just leave your home on time, even without a perfect hairstyle. And that’s what another lifehack is about – tie your hair when it’s still a bit wet, and then disband it when you reach your meeting. You’ll save time and have beautiful waves! 😉
6. COOK MORE
Do you prepare a healthy meal at home everyday? That’s great, but why don’t you make your life easier and cool something for two or three days? It’ll help you save time and money. Remember to apply another, very useful lifehack as well. Shop a lot and don’t even look at things that you don’t need. And, to be honest… you can also do grocery shopping online and have it delivered at your door 😀
7. LEAVE THINGS WHERE THEY WERE
Have you ever looked for your key swearing in your thoughts where you’ve put it? Well, that’s it 😉 Always put it in the same pocket of your purse. It’s that simple! 😉
8. CLEAN YOUR SPACE FROM UNWANTED INFO
Stop following pages on Facebook that you’re not interested in, disable disturbing newsletters that make your inbox cluttered. Leave only the things that bring good quality into your life or the things that you need. If you go through messages on your mobile phone, you can reach for an app (like Upday) in which you’ll be able to set what you’re interested in. That way you’ll be exposed only to the news that truly interest you.
9. DON’T DO EVERYTHING BY YOURSELF
Try to learn to allow others to help you. It works at school, at work, before a party that you’re organizing, before a holiday abroad. Don’t be scared to give important missions to your close ones. Yes, you can totally ask your boyfriend to book concert tickets, if you simply don’t have time for it 😉
10. LOOK FOR TESTED SOLUTIONS
My favorite rule? Don’t ram through an open door 😉 There must have been someone with the same problem as yours in the world already, and they’ve probably asked for advice… online 😉 Search Google if you need to get rid of a red wine stain, find the cheapest hairdryer, or fix an app on your phone, and so on 😉
